Celebrate National Night Out with Allen Police
Posted on Sep 10th, 2018 Comments (0)
Allen Police officers will be visiting neighborhood block parties during the annual National Night Out (NNO) on Tuesday, Oct. 2.
Each year, Allen joins hundreds of other communities around Texas to promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. The event is a great way to get to know your neighbors and send a message to would-be criminals that your neighborhood is well-organized and protected.
NNO events have been around for 35 years and are designed to heighten crime/drug prevention awareness, generate participation in local anti-crime programs and strengthen neighborhood spirit.
Trash & Recycling Guidelines
Posted on Sep 10th, 2018
City of Allen’s updated trash and recycling guidelines. It's full of information on storm drains, recycling pickup days, sliding holidays, and much more! Residents should have received a printed copy of the new guidelines in their mailboxes earlier this month. It is recommended that you keep this copy available throughout the year. The Guidelines are available online - http://www.cityofallen.org/DocumentCenter/View/143. As a reminder, several City of Allen facilities will either be closed or have adjusted operating hours to commemorate the new year. See the full list online, including information about trash collection and Christmas tree disposal. - http://cityofallen.org/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=2476 .
